SOCIALABILITY AT THE NEXT LEVEL
HUGE thank you’s for the contributions to the Celebration of Summer:
- Board members, staff, and volunteers of the Festival Society & Community Fund
- Hornby non-profits that donated to a “door prize basket” and there were so many items that 4 boxes were filled and won! (Special mention to the Natural History Centre who donated a 70 million year old fossil! Value: Priceless!).
It is so rewarding to the patrons and organizers to have the beneficiaries show such support and participation.
- People and businesses that donated auction items. There were approximately 50 kind souls who made donations! With items ranging from a pan of Bonz Bunz to a Middle Beach Lodge 3 day getaway.
Literally something for everyone.
- To Marc Atkinson and Friends for wonderful music and a surprise appearance by Odus!
- Laura Agnew. Chef and owner of “As you Like It” Catering- the experience was more than “like”, we loved the food!
- Brenda Cha & Peter Wardle, and their family, for the venue and hospitality.
- To the Guests that attended and shared goodwill and camaraderie, and a generous philanthropic attitude.
After a 4 year hiatus, it took some pushing, like a rock uphill, to get the momentum for this event going. But thanks to so many contributors it was a resounding success - A real community building event!
Thanks to our friendly paparazzi, Paula Wardle, pictures of the event can be downloaded at:
