What are the parameters?

Annual interest income from the investments is distributed by the local Community Board. Within the confines of "community fund" regulations, the Advisory Board has developed and maintained criteria for disbursement of the grants. The grants are given for community projects on Hornby Island.

Where has the money gone?

Historically, at the Hornby Fall Fair the Advisory Board members present the annual Grants.  In 2019 a shift was made to go online, and the cheques are now issued directly from our host organization, the Comox Valley Community Foundation.
