Held at the end of July, this event provides a rare shopping opportunity on Hornby. Unusual collectibles, fashionable home decor, the odd antique, alot of art work...and more. Don't miss out, there'll be a treasure waiting for you to claim it.
The social event of the season. A deluxe dinner, a beautiful venue, a worthwhile cause, and a "dare to dream" auction.
Auction items include vacation rentals in exotic destinations, lodge getaways, dining vouchers, spa certificates, exciting adventures, ferry passes, and alot of surprises.
The book sale fundraiser is a summer event held the last weekend of July. Each year, a dedicated group of volunteers start the planning, and collecting the donations, in April. Many community members save and donate their books. Once the books are collected, volunteers carefully sort and organize them, making it easier for patrons to find what they need. All proceeds go to the Hornby Island Community Fund, to be added to the Fund's interest which is paid out annually in grants to local organizations.
